Our most recent trip to Paris was in 2015. Due to terrorist activity, the trip has not taken place lately. An upcoming Paris trip is anticipated.
*Please note: Anyone signing up for the Paris Trip must be able to walk several hours and climb stairs. Several of the metro stations and locations we will visit have stairs without the option of an elevator.
The 3 Series is a class made up of 3 major learning blocks. The entire Series will be held over the course of 3 months. Classes will be held at the Studio in San Clemente. This class is offered in the Spring and Fall each year.
The 3-Series class includes all painting materials, aprons, and canvases. Each session is 3 hours long. 6 class session of 3 hours each is a total of 18 hours of class time plus at-home practice lessons sent to you too! Cost for all three levels is $330. Limited space available. Sign-up today!
Paris Trip Details:
3 Series Class - Learning to Paint- for Beginners
Series 1- Still Life
This beginning session is a perfect place to start for beginning and intermediate painters. Drawing and painting from still life is a necessary foundation for creating great work. Lessons will be done in class together and additional lessons will be given for take-home practice to accompany what we learn in class. All materials, apron, and canvases for each session are included.
Series 2- Plein-air Painting
Upon completion of our Still Life Class we begin this session by heading outside with our easels. Painting outside or "in plein air" is a challenging and fun way to improve your talent. Lessons will be done in our class sessions together and additional lessons will be given for take-home practice to accompany what we learn in class. All materials, apron, and canvases for each session are included.
Series 3- Painting from Photo
Upon completion of the Plein Air Painting we start this session by painting landscapes/seascapes from photo. Choosing a good composition and understanding color and light to create an interesting painting full of depth are the focus for this session. Lessons will be done in class together and additional lessons will be given for take-home practice to accompany what we learn in class. All materials, apron, and canvases for each session are included.
